What is CBD?

CBD derived from hemp is not psychoactive, as it lacks the active ingredient THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) found in marijuana. This is because THC levels found in hemp-derived CBD are usually less than 0.3%. How Does CBD Work for Dogs?
Similar to humans, dogs have an endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS is a complex system of cell receptors and neurotransmitters found throughout the body. They are primarily located in the central and peripheral nervous systems, as well as the immune system. In plain terms, these parts of the nervous system include the brain and spinal cord, as well as nerves outside the brain and spinal cord. Meanwhile, the immune system encompasses white blood cells, antibodies, the complement system, the lymphatic system, the spleen, the thymus, and bone marrow.
